Woodall's Fitness has all the tools you might need for the body you want. If you check out the fitness studio tour, you will see various pieces of equipment for almost any exercise. Equipment to work chest, arms, legs, abs and every other combination. But not all of this equipment is so sophisticated. For example...

Dumbells! Dumbells have been and continue to be a mainstay in many exercise routines. Adaptable to a number of exercise situations and routines, James demonstrates one dumbell exercise here.

Isolation is the key. Using dumbells forces isolation of the muscle group. Each side is forced to carry it's own weight. In a traditional barbell bench press, having one arm stronger than the other can lead to a "cheat" by allowing the stronger side to assist the weaker side. When each side has to handle it's own weight, there's no cheat. This leads to a more evenly developed and balanced physique. Integrate dumbells into your routine for curls, bent rows, presses, shrugs, lateral raises - you can use them in almost any situation.

Dumbells are great for continuing your workout at home. Dumbells are a very inexpensive way to expand your routine. The most familiar are the single weight dumbells. But in a home environment, having all the weights you need can take a lot of space. The dumbells as pictured here with James *are* the high tech type. By rotating a selector, you can have any weight you need at the ready - and it only takes one set of dumbells to do it! If you are interested in setting up a home gym, ask James for recommendations and ideas to help you setup a great environment. Being a certified trainer, James can visit your workout area and provide you with qualified advice on home gym setup including equipment.

Due to the ever growing client base here at Woodall's Fitness, we have found a lot more clients dropping by, or wanting to drop by, to take advantage of our complimentary, non-supervised sessions. People frequently call to see if they can stop by to burn a few calories off or do cardio work on our treadmills, bikes and climbers.

WFT prides itself on meeting and exceeding client needs and expectations. WFT feels that one of the best ways to serve our clients more fully is by providing expanded summer hours. Summers can be so hectic and finding that extra time to squeeze just one more thing into an already packed schedule can be tough. By expanding our hours, we hope that we can more fully accomodate all of your needs at a time that's convenient for you.

With all those relatives visiting, remember that one of the client benefits at WFT is that we provide our services to out of town guests while they are here! Woodall's provides a great place for visitors to keep up their fitness routines while they visit. Check with your trainer for more details!


WFT Hosts Clayton Chamber of Commerce "After Hours"

The Clayton Chamber of Commerce is an organization that offers a variety of services to both consumers and local businesses. One of the events that the Clayton CoC offers is a regular "After Hours" gathering so that members can learn what other local companies do and offer. Recently, WFT hosted one of these gatherings allowing a number of other Chamber members the opportunity to visit our studio and learn more about the services that WFT offers.
 
WFT would like to thank the Clayton Chamber of Commerce and all the members that showed up to support us and learn more about our services!

Johnston County Health Fair 2006

James was recently at the 2006 Johnson County Human Resources Health Fair and sponsored a booth. He took this opportunity to speak with enthusiastic attendees about his specialized personal services. Since opening his doors in 2004 to fill a need for personal training services in the Johnston County area, without the stress of a large fitness facility, James has continued to add services and offerings for his clients. He presented and discussed these services with a number of attendees. WFT currently offers personal fitness training, massage therapy, a variety of goal oriented programs. weight loss, strength training, even a golf-oriented program as well as fitness counseling.

Clayton Chamber of Commerce Luncheon

It's been an exciting year for WFT! We have made many new friends at our center in Clayton, NC and would like to wish a great new year for all of them. We would be remiss if we didn't throw in, "NOW is a great time to make those New Year's resolutions a reality!" New clients are encouraged and welcomed to schedule a complimentary workout to test drive our equipment and facilities with a certified personal fitness trainer.

This past year, WFT has been busy expanding our services to meet the needs of our clients. We are now offering not only our customized personal training services but additional services such as Massage Therapy and our new line of Advocare Nutrition Products (see below for more information).
